Important Update: Some Seriously Big News

Hey y'all,

I wanted to share some news about what's happening in my personal life and how it affects this journey we're taking together.

I was recently laid off from my job, and while this wasn't exactly how I planned to make the transition, I've been thinking about writing full-time for a while now.

So, here's the plan: I'm going to embrace this as an opportunity to test what writing full-time looks like while simultaneously looking for my next job. I've been incredibly fortunate in my career, working for some amazing organizations. Finding something equally wonderful will likely take time—probably 4-6 months based on previous experience—but that gives me a perfect window to explore writing full-time.

What this means:

The immediate good news is that I'll be ramping up to three posts a week. Look for Fate's Attendant chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is something I've wanted to do but couldn't manage with a job.

Also:

Level 3 patrons, the first chapter of Fate's Attendant is now LIVE for you.

Level 1, 2, and free patrons, you'll get access to that first chapter early next week when I also begin posting to Royal Road.

If the writing proves as productive and sustainable as I hope, I might make this transition permanent. Either way, I'm genuinely excited about having more time to spend in these worlds we love and to share more stories with you.

P.S. The development edits for Eight Book 5 will begin soon. The release date, though, will depend on whether my line editor can fit the draft into his schedule earlier than we'd originally planned. Fingers crossed!
