Extended Break

Hello all, I hope you had a particularly enjoyable Christmas Holiday.

Mine's been... busy. In retrospect, choosing the Christmas holidays as the time to once more go back forth with Amazon on getting Sect and the first two Steam books finally published, probably wasn't my wisest move.

Feeling a little drained by that.

So much so that I've spent much of the last few days tossing and turning as I deliberated delaying the start returning to writing.

I don't think it's a secret to anyone that I was flagging and feeling a little burnt out towards the end of SSB: MMM. I had hoped when January rolled around I'd be feeling refreshed and ready to write.

I'm not. I've sat down and fired out a few words, but there's not a lot of fire. And it feels wrong to start on the next 'big project' when I know I won't be putting my all in.

Which I'm sure is both disappointing and frustrating to you who've been waiting for Steam 3 to start. Alas, there's nothing I can say beyond 'sorry' and point to the fact that I'll obviously not be charging anyone for January. I've got savings and I'll be making use of them :D

The only thing I ask for is a bit more patience while I recover my writing juices some more.

I've no doubt I'll lose a few of you in the coming month, but I'm fine with that. I'd rather be paid less to create something I'm happy with :D

So, yeah, just putting my cards on the table.
