2024 was a good year for me, for the most part. There were things I did that I'd been putting off for the longest time. Meeting close friends from the internets, getting tattoos, making better choices, just to name a few. Amid the highs were lows but rarely did they last. Gotta keep trekking forward after all.
As has been tradition the past two years, I present my year-in-review. These are the stories that I meshed with/vibed with the most that I produced. As well as the overall amount I did this year. I think, off the top of my head, I wrote about 200 pages more this year. Go me I suppose.
A few things to note about the list
This focuses on things I posted. There's plenty in the stash waiting to be published. So something you may have requested in recent months will be up soon and can contend for it next year.
This does not include any of the Prompt Packs, be it the monthly or two seasonal ones I put together. There's a lot in all those I enjoy though.
I've said this before but it bears repeating. Just because something you requested/commissioned isn't here doesn't speak to the quality to that story or says anything negative about it. I love making stories and creating. Your happiness is always priority 1. However, there are some when I get to write and go 'weeo weeo I hit the jackpot mofo' (I'll be surprised if anyone gets the reference).
That all being said, here are my favorite pieces from 2024
January: Risette's Big Comeback This is an example of what I mentioned of 'completed one month, posted another'. And who doesn't love a good Persona 4 story. And I hadn't done Rise proper in a while.
February: Year of the Dimpled Doughy Dragon A Lucoa-solo story for Year of the Dragon based on a Patron poll from earlier in the year. Fun to see everyone's favorite ex-goddess fatten up. And a fun ending to boot.
March: Beyond the Waistline's End Mutual WG/fats is always a plus in my book. I'd finished watching Frieren before writing that so I got into it quite a lot. Plenty of elf love to go around.
April: A-lb-edo I'm happy with this for a few reasons. For one, I've been working with the patron to make an expanded universe (pun-intended). For two, it gave me an excuse to binge through all of Overlord for research.
May: Sabotage(?) in the Spacesuit While I put out three (I think) Tali stories, I enjoyed this one a bit more. Mostly since I enjoy getting to make up lore/planets/characters for them. Lets me work narrative kinky fun.
June: Large Lucina's Solo Quest I'm not super big into Fire Emblem. I've only played two games but I enjoyed this since its vibes were in my wheelhouse. Also with two fun sequels to really flesh it all out.
July: Sibling Android Rivalry As mentioned, love mutual gains. And the pink elephants style sequence was something I always wanted to try writing. Not to mention 17 & 18 together are fun to make landmasses.
August: Codename BHM I've done a bunch with Yor that I was happy to do a commission with Loid. A nice change of pace. As well as the two Dungeon Meshi stories were hard to choose between as well.
September: Obese Odyssey of the Teen Titans I don't do super big (length-wise) stories like this but they're always a blast. And the Titan ladies usually make for a good writing experience. Especially extreme sizes.
October: Wonka's Next Top Model Wonka brainrot is something I have everyday. And getting to put a particularly nasty lady through humiliation is aces for a weirdo like me. Like Depeche Mode says, just can't get enough.
November: Blubber-on-the-Ground Sonic OPM Sonic is one of those characters you'd think I'd write more of. So this opportunity was a blast to say the least. And, as mentioned, extreme sizes for the win.
December: Go Blueberry! Plus-Sized Ultra! There was a lot here that all worked into my strengths and things I enjoy writing. Good narrative, characters I like, blueberries. A nice commission I enjoyed thoroughly.
Again, I wrote loads this year and there were a lot of stories I'm super happy with the end results that didn't make the list. The Chilchuck one, Streamer Overloaded, etc. Which I wouldn't be able to do without all of your support. I'm curious what are some of your favorites from the year.
I always say it and I always mean it: thank you for your support. Couldn't do half of what I do without you all. Especially you. Yes you.
