Back to Business

Alright, I've had some time off to stop and smell the Community Coffee. I'll admit, taking a break at times is a challenge. If only because I always feel that need of having to do something. Although I did get an idea penned that I'm hoping to make into a four-part series called Price of Greed. Another I wanted to do but we'll see as well as trying to get the Yosuke/MLP CYOA thing done from last year.

But I know I needed this. Truth be told, I think about writing to an unhealthy degree. What do I mean by that? Here's an example of my thoughts after work some days.

Okay I got my workout and trainer from now until 5:30. Get home and start this next drabble. After that, gotta start the one after that. Oh crap, I never finished this thing earlier.

And it'd go on like that. Focusing oftentimes on what I wasn't working on and thinking how I needed to spend more time on this. An unhealthy way to go about things.

I feel the break was for the best. It's allowed me to sort of hard reset the Rotation perks and balance out a schedule via the Writing Calendar while also pacing out commissions so they don't take over a year.

Also, anyone interested in the YCH should know its closed for now. I'm not taking on any more as its still an experiment that I think definitely can work. Unsure if I explained it incorrectly or whatever other tweaks it needs.

I did realize that a New Year's Resolution/Commitment of mine went unfulfilled. In that I promised myself to take consistent days off in the week. Well, I'm going to enforce that on myself. One day off per week, usually Saturday or Sunday depending. Again, details are in the previous linked Calendar.

Lastly, I'm thinking of doing more Raffles. Those of you that've been around long enough may remember that I did them on my DA page from time to time (like 2015-2017). Unsure if/when I'll bring them back but they'll be simple things. Maybe a once a month type deal.

That's pretty much it for now. If there's something you think I could/should do, let me know. If there's one thing I love about writing its trying new ideas: the YCH, the CYOA, I'm even testing out a Bounty Board this month (that'll be more public in due time). Anything to have fun making stuff and sharing it with those who'll enjoy it.
