"wincest"??????

It depends on the type of spice. If it's chili based, meaning the heat comes from Capsaicin, then dairy products - specifically milk - help.
Capsaicin binds to certain pain receptors and stimulates them, tricking the body into thinking that it's in a lot of pain. Milk contains a protein called "Casein", which can bind to the Capsaicin and remove some of it from the receptors.
Additionally, capsaicin is not water-soluble, but it is fat-soluble. That means that drinking a lot of water doesn't remove the capsaicin from the receptors, but instead might cause more of it to reach other receptors and worsen the experience. Milk fat, on the other hand, does solve the capsaicin, absorbing it and moving it further into your digestive tract.

If I remember correctly it's Sugar that counters spicy stuff, that's why he asked did she want ice cream because it's sweet and full of sugar

Sometimes I am glad we get localization with a bit of personality instead of just a straight up 1:1 translation. It reminds us that a human being is still the one doing the work and not some AI generated BS, because I'm sure if it made sense for the production's bottom line, they'd jump on that AI train as well.

You forgot one very important ingredient that came from the Americas: Potatoes.
Boil them, mash them, stick them in a stew. Lovely big golden chips with a nice piece of fried fish.

Hey so, I'm russian and I can say that we're definitely not a spicy culture, all the spicy foods were imported from other cultures. The only spicy things we have are condiments like "Горчица" (gor'cheetsa) which is essentially mustard but with the spiciness level of Wasabi, "Хрен" (hr'en) - spicy horse reddish sauce and "Чесночный соус" (Chessknochnyi So'us) - sour cream and garlic sauce. Other than that, there are spicy snacks, like spicy sunflower seeds, various meat and fish snacks. And that's pretty much it. Russians tend to prefer garlic overall though.

I think you probably figured it out, but yes, their parents got a divorce. Yuki went with the mom who changed back to her maiden name, which in turn Yuki changed as well; while Marachika stayed with the father and kept his family name. She can't keep her otaku stuff at her moms place so she has a room at the father's place where she can keep it at.

Alya’s shocked O_O eyes reminds me of Anya from Spy x Family.
Yuki reminds me of Umaru from Himouto: Umaru-chan, being an otaku younger sister of the male lead and acts like an elegant princess at school.

You are wrong about spicy food. It absolutely does have flavor. Jut because you cannot taste it does not mean other people can't.

They are full-blood related. She SPECIFICALLY uses the terms sibling & sister that mean BLOOD-RELATED sibling & sister, respectively, kanji wise

I totally forgot how early in the story they drop the whole sister thing but I'm happy, they are such degenerates together and it's hilarious

not sure if anyone’s said yet, but both of the endings so far have been covers of different songs. i’m not sure the song’s name, but the ED in episode 1 was a song from the 70s. this episode’s song was kawaikute gomen. not sure who it was by though. i hope they keep that up though because it’s a cool idea

The subs dropped the "wincest" line. I sometimes love localization - it cracks me up.
