October Translation Update- New public patch, tons of progress, and more!

Salutations everyone!

It's been awhile since the last announcement hasn't it? To tell the truth a lot has been happening, mostly IRL issues, getting a software developer job, and even catching Covid!

For this reason, I fear to admit that I've been a bit afraid to make an announcement purely because of well, there is a lot of progress that has been made since the last update, translation-wise. There's no excuse for the lack of updates as of late and I'm very very sorry ><;

I do however, have some very good news for those interested in the translation progress however, as the English translation for Captured Alstromeria, is nearly done!

For those just interested in getting their hands on the latest public patch, you can find it on Github! It contains a large portion of the following:

What needs to be worked on next:

A Patreon version of the patch which is more up to date will be made available following this announcement. Please look forward to it ^^

First off, I'd like to talk about how the translation has been working before the last update. Currently, Translator++ is being used to translate the game, which has been doing a great job so far. However it's import and export functionality sucks...

As you know, the translation is fully open source on Github, so anyone can see its progress, and contribute to it! Normally if it's just one person who can see this it's fine, but for bigger projects in the future, and the ability for others to help. Originally, the exported translation was in .xlsx, but this made it not only hard to edit, but also impossible to view changes. Recently, this was changed to .csv files, which are not only easy to view and edit in editor programs such as VScode, but any changes are also visible in Github changelogs, so everyone can actually see what's being changed. It took some time to reformat the translation script to suit this, but I'm happy to say that it means anyone can now see and edit the translation or proofread it exactly! If you're interested in helping out, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

Suffice to say, though I apologize for the lack of updates, the translation itself has been going smoothly, and I have two individuals to thank completely for helping out, GBlast and Xantam have offered invaluable help to the translation so far, and it definitely would not be this far ahead if it wasn't for them. Please, from the bottom of my heart give them a warm thank you if you see them around.

Future translation progress will no be focused on cleaning up the remaining translations, and proofreading the current translations as a whole. If you spot anything amiss, please let me know on the discord translation server and I'll fix it right up!

That said, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Stay safe, and especially during next month! (There may or may not be a special event on the translation server to accommodate November)

Hope you all have a great day.

Indeed, they're basically mini lore dumps that you can find in the game ^^

Dairy entries? That's an odd thing to have in a game. I'm getting a bit curious lol
