Hey, another dev update with some weird news about the game's eventual release.

I'm still working on the game regularly except that something has become apparent. I've done it again, I've let ambitions get the best of me. Unfortunately, much like when making Ep 2 Pt 1, this update is longer than first anticipated... except uh... far, far longer. And I don't know how this happened. In general, I think this is a bad thing and is leading me to seriously review my approach to pacing, and ways I can speed it up in future updates. This is just the newest edition of learning experiences I face while making this silly heehee haha game.

Basically, the gist of what's going on is that the script for Ep 2 Pt 2 is now about the same size as Ep 2 Pt 1 (~55,000 words) except, in terms of content, it's like 2/3rds done. I am an absolutely abysmal judge of my own capabilities and sincerely believed Pt 2 would be shorter than Pt 1, but this much of a difference is utterly insane. So, I'm proposing a temporary solution, which is to release a teaser build at some point. I haven't yet figured out which proportion of the update is going to be relegated to the teaser, but as of right now, I'm guessing it'll be about an hour of gameplay or about a quarter or less of the whole update. This should hopefully tide people over while I finish off the rest of the episode.

I'm not sure when it'll drop. My guess is it'll be in September or October. Doing it later than that would genuinely embarrass me. The teaser build will follow the regular release schedule, and while it's financially stupid to do so, I'm going to recommend not upgrading your pledge to get it earlier, it'll be quite a small update which is almost all buildup with no payoff, and zero lewd scenes. Let me say that again so we're clear: This teaser build will have zero lewd scenes. Also, remember, this teaser build will only be a portion of what's already done, don't play it and think "Is this all he's done after all this time?", there will already be much more of the work complete when the teaser drops.

I'll make this news public when I have a better idea of how I'm going to do it. In real-life news, I've slipped a fucking disc in my spine and AAAAHHHH OUCH OWIE FUCK FUCK SHIT AHHHHHHHHH IT HURTS OH GOD FUCK NO AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! I spent the last two days supine but I can sit up now so that's nice. I'm in the middle of writing the third lewd scene of the update and losing a piece of my soul every time I take note of an animation. We're all looking forward to me getting back to a nice setup but oh god no that means I have to animate again.

Like always, I'm going to forget to say something important in this update. I can't wait for hindsight to kick in after pressing the publish button.
