I’m curious about her general writing process—is she an outliner or discovery writer; a morning, afternoon, or night writer; if she uses lots of betas? Also, I want to know what we’re some of the little details she used to sell the crime setting

2020-07-27 17:04:10 +0000 UTCI'm sure she loves all of her characters, but which one has the most special place in her heart? Yes, I am aware that I'm basically asking her to pick a favorite child. 😜
2020-07-27 16:46:58 +0000 UTCI wonder how much did the "model minority" stereotype affect her depiction of the kekonese-espenians in Jade war and her general intentions around writing those parts of jade war

2020-07-27 16:44:08 +0000 UTCApologies, I couldnt resist, but in seriousness... I'd like to know how does she motivate herself through an emotionally distressing scene or through times where your thoughts are not on the novel.

2020-07-27 16:40:54 +0000 UTCMuch of the setting in the green bone saga felt extremely authentic to my experience as a second generation Asian Canadian especially the cities which feel especially cosmopolitan. How much of the little touches come organically from her own experiences vs how much of it did she consciously research in order to create her settings
