Rough draft script for Valentines comic
Added 2018-02-06 16:26:14 +0000 UTCI want to make a personal comic when I get home and I wrote a rough draft script for it. Since I promised to share, here you go!
Scene: a row of children cropped so only their torsos are showing among their desks, back view to put a blackboard and similarly cropped teacher woman on a spotted black dress in focus. Each child has a special valentines jug made from a milk jar and uniquely decorated to match their personality.
Zoom in to just the teacher clamping her hands together.
Teacher: Alright kids, now that weve finished todays lesson, feel free to get up and pass out Valentines.
Everyone shuffled around. A young King has brought candy and cards for everyone and hands it out. When he returns to his desk and checks his bucket decorated like a dead animal, its empty.
King: *frowns, ears back.*
A boy comes over with his face all hidden except for a smile. He seems as if hes going to put in a card, but then pulls back.
Boy: No one here likes you, ugly.
King: *lowers his head and pulls on ears. Inner monologue sits atop the frame to deliberately distract from a hand behind it putting in a genuine valentine.*
Monologue: No one will ever love me... this is why my parents left me... This is why everyone leaves me... Im so gross, look at my hairy arms... Why am I here? Why am I-
Scene: Kings panicking frame in the front but darkened to make room for the bully boy enjoying himself.
King: Teeth clench and he grabs his one letter filled bucket without realizing whats inside. Enraged, he throws it at the bully boys head. The same hand that dropped the note coils uncomfortably in the foreground.
Shift to a scene in an office before impact is made. A tie wearing principle is scolding King who just has his hand in his palm.
The scene shifts drastically again to an illustration of Kings adult room, littered with beer cans that direct attention to the big beast himself sulking on a bean bag with a bong in hand.
King: God Im disgusting...
