To answer your question: you kinda find out the relationship between Levi and Mikasa by learning what the Ackerman Clan (they referred to it as a clan this episode) is later on. They keep mentioning something about the clan being special or something so you’ll find out why.

No I definitely don't agree with the Armin take. The English VAs for the all the season 1 cast sound amateur. Also, armins voice acting in the finale was incredible (uk what scene I'm talking about)

Have to lowki disagree. Either watch your gonna lose something. Armin’s sub actor is a girl and it makes listening to him abysmal sometimes compared to dub. But Eren’s sun is really good too. Nonetheless, having Levi and Commander Erwin (especially his speech) in dub will always be a W. But like you said whatever you’re most comfortable with 🙏🏾 [also I’ve watched in both]

I think its safe to say all the Ackermann's are related in some way, idk if this is a spoiler but bc of the King, they have a special power in them to "serve"... which is why all 3 of them are so good at combat and are TTG 🤣

Seeing a couple of comments about sub or dub so here's my take: Watch whatever you're most comfortable with of course, but here's some reasons to consider subs- The finale won't be dubbed for another several months so when you get there you're gonna have to watch it subbed anyway. There are some iconic scenes with incredible voice acting that are gonna come up and the dub won't do them justice simply because there's a whole industry for anime voice actors in Japan who go to school for this stuff. VAs for the AoT dub, especially the original cast, are just not that great compared to some newer ones that come in later because when the show started, anime wasn't as big in the west and there just wasn't a great selection of VAs taking jobs like these. (I also read somewhere that dub VAs were getting paid just a few hundred dollars per episode for their role, not sure if credible tho)

Glad you saw our comments about Ep12 and I know you’ve heard it multiple times already but again; you should change to the Japanese subs after that episode! There are just way too many veteran voice actors and iconic performances in AOT for you not to do so. and btw the English dub for the AOT finale probably won’t come out for another 6 months anyway. Anime dubs are always delayed by a month but the episode before the finale was delayed by six. Just another reason why you should change to the subs… 🤷🏾‍♂️
