no the audio was bad on all the performances. if you look on all the artists youtube pages, they all had to upload their own versions with the audio fixed because vmas messed up all their audio. people were complaining in the comments too, seems like they had some type of technical issue

Gnarly grew on me a lot, it’s just so ridiculous it becomes fun lol. The performances made it better for me. I thought their performances at the vma pre schow (Gabriela too) were some of the best out of the entire show, main stage included. I love theirs and Tate’s the most. I hope they’re on the main stage next year because they deserve!

I’ll never forget when this song dropped, literally EVERYBODY was hating on it we were all like wtf just happened? even the YouTube comments (and that’s how you know shit was baaad). Then the live performance dropped, they ate it up on stage + the song kinda marinated… suddenly everybody was down bad. That switch up was insane ahahah

This is the first I ....consciously watched Katseye. So this was the first time I heard the song and I happened to be watching it live on the vma's for the few mins I tuned in. I downloaded the song immediatelyyy loll because I enjoyed the performance. The stage was definitely too small ...I wouldnt even put a solo act on that stage unless they are known for doing like ballads or something where they just have a mic stand. Smh. So that was stupid but other than tht yh...this was cool
