Late morning feels like a transitional period the shift from the start of the day into something else. It’s kind of vague when exactly “late morning” begins. For some people, 9 a.m. might already be late. For others, maybe it doesn’t start until 10. That sense of timing really depends on each person.

So in this picture, I wanted to talk about my relationship with myself during this time of day. The word “late” often carries a negative feeling. Like in life, where we have so many choices we’ve picked one path, and now it feels too late to change it.

Each ray of light in this image represents something we might want to pursue in life. There are so many of them, but we can only pause and be with one at a time. Sometimes we linger so long that we start to feel like it’s too late to switch to another. But those rays of light are still shining.

Sure, some might fade at certain times, but the one choosing which light to stay with… is still us. And the one who decides it’s “too late” to change that’s also just us, telling ourselves that.

So with this piece, I wanted to remind myself: If there’s something you want to do, just do it. It’s probably not too late. And even if it doesn’t go well, there are still so many other things you can do. It’s really not too late.
