Charon is the ferryman of the Greek underworld, granting passage for the dead through the Acheron and Styx rivers. He would only bring those who were properly buried with an obolus coin, an ancient Greek currency. The dead who were unable to pay were left to wander the shores of the Styx for a hundred years. Several living people (heroes and demigods) were able to travel on Charon's boat by offering him special gifts or by having strong persuasion.

I had a lazy design for Charon; basically, the Grim Reaper with a boat and stick. Thought it would be kinda funny for him to be reading off a script, as he probably has said the same thing billions of times. Love the Hollow Knight style souls as the Styx waters.
