Byakko, the white tiger yokai!

In Chinese mythology, he is called the Baihu or White Tiger, one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. He represents several things, the direction West, autumn, dusk, and the element of metal. As the comic already said, a regular tiger turns into the White Tiger after living for 500 years, and he is the Guardian of the West.

The White Tiger was later adapted into Japanese folklore and called Byakko (which is just "white tiger" in Japanese lol). He is considered a yokai, a supernatural entity in Japanese folklore, and has control over the wind. I am not sure whether Byakko has control over the wind in both Chinese and Japanese folklore since I can barely find consistent information over several sources so...
