I made Willow's clothing resemble an ancient Roman dress since fauns originate in Greek/Roman mythology. She is also a druid, so I gave her a (magical?) curly staff.
Byakko and Basan are both from Japanese mythology. Byakko is the white tiger associated with metal and wind and is also the guardian of the West. I made its lower body mostly wind/cloud, and the symbol on its forehead means "west" in Japanese and Chinese. Basan is just a giant rooster that breathes fire lol.
I will probably make a mythology comic on one of them soon; it seems better if I get to design them first and then draw a comic on them rather than doing both at the same time.
