The Eagles Marathon - Take it Easy & Witchy Woman

Nick starts to understand why The Eagles are so popular and successful! FINALLY!

We were excited to finally be able to react to them, as we'd never done so on the channel after Don Henley gave us a copyright strike on the channel.

Hope you enjoy!

Lots of love,

Nick, Lex & Marley

...BTW, Joe Walsh joined The Eagles in 1975 for the album Hotel California, which was released in 76. He did not play on either of these songs, or on their 1st 4 albums, but thank you for doing these 2 "hits". I enjoyed it too:)

One of THE best American bands ever!

Good art is able to reach the emotional part of us. It should be able to stimulate both sides of the brain. To be my age and having heard the Eagles songs (and other artists fifty years ago) on the radio for the first time, was jaw dropping. Now when I hear them and watch you guys discover them, it's nostalgic and encouraging at the same time. Enjoy the human experience together.

Glad to see you’re exploring The Eagles and this doubleheader was a great start. So many really good songs over so many years with so many personnel changers. The early years is a great place for you to have started. They only get better from there. ❤️

I actually stood on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, seemed like a regular sight to see….

Another great reaction! I agree with others that “The Long Run” definitely should be listened to. It is a totally different sound. I am going to see the Eagles in Indy in March. We have floor seats and I will give you my critic of the show and try and get a little video to share with you. On another note, I left you a link to a Steely Dan performance on your Instagram page. Keep up your great reactions they are much appreciated!!!👏👏👏

The entirety of this album, Hotel California, One of These Nights, and The Long Run are eventual must listens for y’all. And I live in NE Texas about an hour from where Henley grew up and still frequents, and from the few accounts I’ve heard he’s been extremely friendly and approachable, but who knows with these celebs. But regardless…the music is impeccable.

Greatest Hits was my 2nd Eagles record (after guess what ? , but I don't remember exactly why I bought it). I remember for sure, from the very first note, Take it easy had this "put you in a good mood vibe", I loved it. I'm sure, I knew it from radio, but didn't know it's the Eagles and just like you: I had heard, but not really listened to it. Witchy woman's intro sounded so "Indian" to me with the drums and then the voice and the background vocals catch you. And then you listen to the album song by song and there is not 1, where you would have said, hmmm this one maybe not, as you know it from other greatest hits compilations … they always have 1 or 2 or 3 songs, you would not have picked. According to the Recording Industry Association of America it’s the most sold album worldwide with over 40 million sold copies (2018). Followed by Thriller, Zeppelin IV, Back in Black and Rumours. (I have heard other rankings … but still impressing). PS: Hotel California is composed by Felder/Henley/Frey. Fun fact: the producer’s name does not have one vowel, but you still can pronounce it : Bill Szymczyk PPS: Have you ever seen Rick Beato’s 20 minute video, where he’s blaming Don Henley for his actions against youtubers and others … it’s ridiculous, as you say, that this rich man fights this senseless fight. In the video he is shown saying, he has hired 60 people to take care of it  poor soul

Nick , i loved the big lebowski reference!😂 joking aside , i listened to a lot of eagles growing up. Hell freezes over live album! Was in my disc changer for a very long time! Will always love it. Thanks for this video! Great songs. Fun reaction!

No denying how popular the Eagles were and still are. I didn’t mind them in the 70s, but I didn’t go out of my way to listen to them and I never owned any of their albums. Well crafted and well played songs, but just not my thing. Now, they’ve been so overplayed, I can’t listen to them at all. “Hotel California” is in the same bucket as “Stairway to Heaven”. No thanks.
