Rod Stewart - Have I Told You Lately

Ahhh the softer side of Rod Stewart! I personally enjoyed this cover, but Rod was born to rock! Belfast Cowboy aka Van the Man wrote and produced this incredible track. So I'm putting a suggestion in for you guys at some point to react to Van's recording, you'll not regret it.

This is a Van Morrison cover..check out original!

Nick and Lex, I just read Jeff Skunk Baxter is releasing his first solo album in June. Could be quite extraordinary we could only hope! No mention of Fagen playing on it, but, Michael McDonald was included. Thought you'd like to know if you missed it......

I didn't like the song Do Ya... but I loved Born Loose and You Just Keep Me Hangin' On - worth the price of the album, plus Hot Legs was fun!

I’m with you on Van Morrison. I was just doing a dance/work out to “Wild Night” on repeat. Lol. Without Van, I don’t think we’d have Bruce Springsteen - or even Thin Lizzy, Elvis Costello, U2 all cite Van as an influence. Love his Astral Weeks and Moondance lps, but today I was doing earlier Van - Gloria and Wild Night. Yes 👍

Very fun reaction you guys. This song was written & recorded by Van Morrison in the late 80's. He wrote it as a Prayer but has become a classic ballad and played a lot at weddings. I agree with Michele's picks and would add "Handbags & Gladrags"

Very sweet, you two! This is a Van Morrison song, whom I adore, but Rod does a good job here. I admit I'm a sucker for a good love song. I, too, like early Rod best, though. "Mandolin Wind", "You Wear it Well", "Reason to Believe", etc. For more great love songs, check out Van's extensive catalogue. "Tupelo Honey", "Crazy Love", "Into the Mystic", and the ever popular "Moondance", just to name a few. More good '70's stuff for you to explore!

Thank you for everything!! 😭 We love and appreciate you so much! Love and hugs!!

Early Rod - I haven’t visited in awhile. “Mandolin Wind,” Every Picture Tells a Story,” Maggie May, etc. The band included Ronnie Wood (of The Rolling Stones and Jeff Beck). Stories circulated that Rod was so unsure of his voice early on, he refused to come out from behind the curtains on stage. He went on to Wild popularity even with old ballads later. Didn’t like the “Do you think I’m sexy” era. If you have to ask …. Lol. ✨🤪

You both are so great together. That was a sweet, emotional and lovely reaction. Be grateful and treat each other how you want to be treated - like you do. And yes, Mom is receiving a lot of healing energy and love. Without her, we wouldn’t have our Nick. And he chose another loving woman in Lex. So heart-lifting to see. Hugs 🤗

Michele

Love early Rod. And Mandolin Wind. Even Maggie May because it’s been a minute.

Erin Brockovich is a tear-jerker, such a powerful and compelling story.

I prefer the version of this song by Van Morrison, though this isn't bad. For some rocking Rod Stewart, check out "I'm Losin' You" or "Every Picture Tells a Story."
