Great pairing - like cheese and wine. Fun comment, MM. Thanks ✨🤪

Would Love to hear your choir. Feel free to leave a link if you’d like. 👍

For ABBA, I would recommend their 1st album "Waterloo" and the song My Mama Said

I also recognized the last song as "Young Girl" by GP&TUG.

Fun to hear this in Swedish for the first time. With Abba (and related solo stuff) the extremely cheesy and the ingenious always walked side by side.

Michele is correct, the last song is "Young Girl" by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. It would be interesting to know if she is singing the same lyrics in Swedish- "Young girl, get out of my mind . My love for you is way out of line. You'd better run, girl- you're much too young, girl!" I always thought it was kind of creepy! But the upbeat tempo and arrangement of it makes me think the lyrics are likely different. As Michele said, I hope so! The songs were indeed quite pretty and it was interesting to hear them in Swedish. A Couple of years ago, the choir I sing in performed a Sibelius piece in Swedish, and it was quite difficult to learn!

Nice reaction. Happy to see your smiles. I am not knowledgeable about the following artists (Abba, Karen Carpenter, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap), but I’m about to reference them. All three did get plenty of airplay on radio and TV. I immediately recognized Fernando although I didn’t realize I knew it until it played. It must be locked in those recesses of my brain that isn’t triggered until it played. The second song reminded me slightly of Karen Carpenter but higher. Skipping to the last song, I was surprised to recognize it as “Young Girl” recorded by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (I think). I can’t attest to the lyrics being the same (hopefully not) but the melody is. Bottom line, it’s feel-good music - thanks, Kai. I’ll head over to your Beatles reaction soon. What a channel! ✨🤪
