The Doors - The Crystal Ship

Hi everyone!

So excited to be listening to more Doors around here. Thank you for being here to share this with us - it truly means a lot! They are known to be blocked on YouTube, so it's wonderful to have this space where we can post these artists.

Much love and appreciation to ALL and happy Monday!

The Doors - The Crystal Ship

One of my 3 most favorite Doors songs

Fantastic song and a great reaction. This one is pretty damn perfect. It has it all- such a lovely melody, wonderful lyrics that paint such a picture, a fitting arrangement, and those gorgeous vocals. It adds up to a tremendous vibe. That piano bit by Manzarek knocks me out. Now try "Spanish Caravan" sometime, please.

This is a tune I completely forgot about. Thanks for the reaction, glad you enjoyed!!

Wow! Hendrix followed by The Doors! You could do a Doors album on Patreon as well guys. This first album would be a great one to do, especially as it has 'The End' on it, ahem, at the end! My favourite Doors track. So good to hear you react to these legends on Patreon Nick and Alexia. Thanks xx

For fun, you should listen to their song "The Soft Parade". It's over 10 mins but is a little different from most of their other tracks.

The Crystal Ship is one of my three favorite songs from the Doors. Thanks for choosing this song. Yes It's WAY too short in length

Growing up, mein bruder had this album and Morrison Hotel, which I was always borrowing, and this was one of my favorites. Break on Through, Peace Frog, Waiting for the Sun, jump to mind as other great ones to consider. Once, during grade school, and interested in the effects of music on the mind, I played various Doors songs while hyperventilating, to see if the different songs would affect my handwriting. There was a great spread of difference. Peace Frog had no effect on the handwriting, while Waiting for the Sun produced a complete ineligibility. Granted, it may have had an additive effect with each experiment. Not recommended. This one was toward Waiting for the sun. Hallucinogenic. Like the posters on the wall. Thanks for the memories!

I learned about the Doors from my older brother around 1980-1981, long after Jim had already passed away. I was 13 and became obsessed with them (especially Jim). I read "No One Here Gets Out Alive" and played their music nonstop.. LOL. This song was always one of my favorites - love his voice! Thanks for reacting!

Scott Anderson

Probably my 2nd favorite Doors song after Break On Through.
