2023-04-10 02:00:30 +0000 UTCOf course you knew the song, Alexia! This was her only #1 hit on the radio, and propelled her to superstardom. Interestingly, she didn’t care much for the recording. She laid down the vocal track with producer Peter Asher, and left while he worked on layering the guitars to be played by Andrew Gold. When Linda returned in the morning, she wasn’t happy, asking who added all the “Beatles” stuff. Asher finally convinced her it would work. And did it ever! Still gets big radio play today. I loved your excited reactions!
