Originally recorded live on YouTube, now fully edited and available here for our Patreon family!

We had such a blast diving into The Joshua Tree — easily one of the biggest surprises for us. This album seriously deepened our appreciation for U2 and gave us a whole new perspective on their music.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us live — you were amazing through all the tech hiccups (and there were plenty 😂). Your patience made it even more special and fun!

Enjoy the full, uninterrupted album reaction, and as always, thank you for being here. Your support means the World to us. ❤️

Love and appreciation always,

FULL ALBUM: U2 - Joshua Tree

The Joshua Tree is a cinematic masterpiece. One does not shuffle-play The Joshua Tree. Themes of the desert pervade it, rebirth and salvation in the most desolate of settings, and with all U2 songs, there’s a high-level hook, but you can dive as deep as you want and never hit bottom. Take Still Haven’t Found as an example: sounds like a love song with a jingle, but it’s an amazing blend of Protestant gospel music (the 12-bar blues bass throughout) and Catholic mysticism in the lyrics: constantly striving to know God; never quite succeeding, but never giving up. That’s a tradition that goes back to the fourteenth century and it shows that the two religions can not only get along, but can make great music together, at a time in Ireland when religious strife was very real. And of course for U2, God is synonymous with social justice, which is what they’re really looking for: “I believe in kingdom come, then all the colors will bleed into one”. Black and white in America, orange and green in Ireland. And that’s one song. Every song on this album has its own rich story.

I imagine myself coming home in the early evening, sitting down in my living room with a refreshment and putting on The Joshua Tree, and falling into a trance, shaken from it only after the closing strains of Mothers of the Disappeared to a room that has become dark without me ever realizing it.

War is an earlier album, their breakthrough and their best in my opinion.

Great album and yes, the entire band loves the US!! Watch the movie Rattle and Hum. It’s all detailed in that awesome movie. Great album too. I’m still waiting for y’all to do the War Album or at least react to Drowning Man, the Magnus Opus of U2’s catalogue. Bono’s voice is amazing there and that song is probably at the peak of any major U2 fan’s best list of their songs. Also unforgettable Fire is amazing!! Love you guys! God bless you and your family 😇🙏😇

I'm so happy , you guys reacted to this masterpiece of an album and after listening to how you felt about it , I definitely recommend you react to the next album by them called Achtung Baby because its not just a masterpiece but others say that it's even better then The Joshua Tree , so it would be amazing to see you guys react to it and give your opinion on which one you guys felt was better. You will hear a completely different sound from this album the you did on The Joshua Tree and believe me after you react to it , You will see why many people say it's their best or that it's too hard to choose because their both masterpieces in their own unique way

A terrific reaction to an epically good album. There are no bad songs. There aren’t even mediocre songs. Every song is really good and they’re a couple of super gems. You’re just getting started, though time to rattle and hum. Not to mention lemon. 🤣🍋

Here we go……….. I listened on Sunday to the beginning reaction that you did live. Anxious to hear this one in it’s entirety. It’s a super great album. I was working in Santa Fe, New Mexico as a bartender in a large hotel. And Bono came into the restaurant and everybody swarmed him for autographs, and he was very generous. I just never have wanted to bother people when they’re trying to eat lunch. So I didn’t ask for an autograph, but when he looked over in my direction, I gave him a big wave and waved back. It’ll be fun to hear this record and your reaction. I’m waving to you right now.👋👋👋👋👋
