It's a little fucky--but the question is: for how long?
Added 2021-07-18 02:06:47 +0000 UTCWhenever I do my Christmas albums, I record the right and left hands seperately because I have never developed the faculties necessary to concurrently do jazz improvisation competently in tempo with both hands (right now, my left hand, relative to the right, is pretty much dead weight with how little I've practiced with it). John Mayer often likens the music making process to a restaurant, in which the final product is the most beautifully presented and delicious tasting meal, while the work to get there is represented by a disgusting kitchen that would likely be shut down by the health inspector upon inspection.
Here's my kitchen. We'll see how long it takes for me to clean up my kitchen--at least in terms of jazz improv. I plan on periodically uploading wav files like these so you can see my progress in the coming months. This year, I hope I can make, for you, the best holiday album I've made yet by far.
