the best finale! | Derry Girls 3x7 REACTION

I honestly couldn't have ever dreamed up a better finale episode for this show. everything was so perfectly well-executed with such important conversations. we got to see our beloved characters be a part of change for their own futures and of course that song choice 😭 while I wish there was more to watch as it is so incredible, I'm thrilled it was finished with such a large amount of care and love 🩶

Just wanted to say thank you for the great Derry Girls reactions! I usually find reactors because they watch this show and greatly appreciate the commentary, it's been great!

Ahhhh thank you for watching with me!! I totally agree, while it was always there and felt, we had so many fun moments that we got up to where it wasn't the main focus. I loved how they wrapped it up and wow was it emotional! 🩶

That's totally fair! While I really enjoyed it, I do totally understand where you're coming from there. And agree with everything else you said too - it felt so right having that be the ending and I couldn't think of another way that I would've loved as much. It was such a fun time! 🩶

I loved these reactions, and yes, I cried like a baby at the finale again. The creators were always so good at hitting those emotional beats. Especially with the soundtrack and the real footage from the time. I love how the political landscape was both such a big part of the show, but also kind of just in the background except for these really impactful season finales. Love love love what they did with it and I love every character so much. Glad you did as well. Can't wait to see what show comes next!

To me the finale is what makes season 3 worth it. I do feel it takes a dive in other places… But having the show end with the Good Friday Agreement vote really is perfect. The best, and most significant thing they could have done with the time period they were dealing with. Northern Ireland is a funny wee place - but there is so much to love about it. Perhaps, most of all, the people. And I find that that feeling is refreshed for me when I see this episode. So hopeful. I would have only been like 4/5 when the GFA was signed, but I still sort of remember the positivity in the air from around that time. I imagine it could be a pretty emotional watch, or at least a very nostalgic one, for those that are a bit older than me.

I agree it was a great way to end it. I also loved that we got quite a bit of Orla in the beginning. I loved all your reactions to this show.
