New tiers preview and guidelines for switching over
Added 2021-04-22 20:19:07 +0000 UTCHere is the final version of the Patreon tiers rework. The main changes I have made compared to the previous version are:
- Moved access to future VR videos from 14$ tier to 6$ tier
- Raised "Hot kiln" and "Torrid forge" by 2$ each
- Set a 15 slots limit to "Hot kiln"
- Reduced slots of "Torrid forge" and "Searing furnace" by 1
Slot availability will probably change in the next few months, depending on the workload of making the custom pictures.
As for the migration to the new tiers, Patreon doesn't allow creators to manually move patrons to a new tier or edit the price of an existing tier (obviously). So, following the official guidelines, it will go something like this:
- The original tiers will be deleted on friday the 30th at 12am GMT+2, putting everyone in the "No tier" status. This does not cancel your membership, and Patreon will still charge you the amount of the now deleted tier on May 1.
- The new tiers will be published on May 1. Subscribing to one of the new tiers, you will only be charged for the difference between what you've already paid on May 1. So if you were charged 4$ on May 1 and want to move to the 6$ tier, you will only have to pay the extra 2$.
Importantly, if you plan on switching from 8$ to 6$, it is necessary that you cancel your membership before the end of the month to avoid the extra charge!
And of course if you do not want to switch to any of the new tiers, that's perfectly fine π, just make sure to cancel before the end of the month.
