Some Pics from Forbidden Worlds Film Festival
Added 2025-06-02 15:21:21 +0000 UTCEverything seemed to go ok at the film festival. I was only marginally embarrassing with Gale Anne Hurd, and the 'Jawsploitation Live' thing seemed to go well. Not sure I was very good, but the audience were laughing so I won't complain. I believe it was video'd, so it will appear here on my Patreon hopefully some time this week.
Just thought I'd post a few pics in the meantime. Most were taken by pro photographers, so credit to them (Katie Simmons, Richard Browne, Arthur Cauty, Dave Branfield).
The venue is the former IMAX theatre in Bristol, SW England, now known as The Bristol Megascreen.
My short interview with Gale Anne Hurd was focused on her time working for Roger Corman, and was followed by a screening of Battle Beyond the Stars.
Sadly I missed Tremors because I was prepping for my 'lecture'.

2025-06-08 03:32:56 +0000 UTCThanks, Mat. Great to meet you, and I had a great time in Bristol. It's always been one of my favourite cities. So glad the thing seemed to go down ok. A last minute technical issue made it all a bit stressful, so I wasn't as relaxed as I'd like to have been.

There was a chap sat near me - very high, bless him - who was most impressed. At the climax of Grizzly loudly exclaiming an extremely stoned and extremely Bristolian "Oh my days!". Nice to meet you briefly afterwards as well. Hope you had a good time in Brizz.
