Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen. Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously
Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side
Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop
HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)
Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)
Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

Rick's "I love you" line was slick as hell, lol. Forgot that moment.

Man, I really didn’t think I’d get back into it so quickly. I had completely moved on from The Walking Dead years ago, but now I’m counting down the days to Mondays and Thursdays just to watch the next episode with you!

Just to be clear what the CDC man was saying was that it had been about 4 months or so since the CDC (and whoever he is sending messages to) has been aware keep this (what they’re calling “Wildfire” but only 63 days since it hit the general population.
So we can reasonably infer that our groups been together for about 2 months and Rick was shot and went into a coma maybe a few weeks prior to outbreak.

Yeah Shane would know better than anyone that firing a shotgun from that distance at Rick will do nothing, but the fact that he was aiming, and for so long, and the look of such guilt and denial on his face when Dale catches him…. Such good stuff!

Especially the bit about realist versus idealist. Been a struggle for humanity since forever probably.

Man I forgot how emotional this one is! And at the very end, Rick yelling to the camera. “You’re killing us! You’re killing us!”

Well I think that’s the point tbh , Shane is too impulsive and has anger problems and snapped for a quick second and realised what he was doing is insane.

Andrew Lincoln’s (Rick) acting in that final scene was phenomenal. That scene with Shane pointing his gun at Rick was such a great scene , their dynamic is fantastic and one of the most interesting relationships ever I think but yea Shane is impulsive and doing that is kinda mad tbh. I also think Shane is kinda annoyed about the fact that Rick just came through and is already kinda calling the shots and he also did follow Rick’s lead even before the apocalypse and honestly I get Shane feels a type of way about what Rick said but maybe he shouldn’t have got with his best friend’s wife right after he died . I also don’t think Rick is much of a white knight bc I think he makes the decisions he thinks are right while still being more moral than Shane so more of a good balance in the middle of morality.

As someone who stopped watching the show during season 7 or 8 because of how bad it eventually got, I forgot how good this first season is.

Shane training his sights on Rick was eerie but stupid. In the midst of all they are going through, really. Get your priorities straight. It seems like the CDC infection happened fast. Fast enough for them to overtake the military that moved in. I am interested in the scientist's story. Would be ironic if they were developing the disease their to use against an enemy and it backfired on them.

I wasn’t emotional when I first saw this and I was an adult already. I had no connection with the characters, it was too soon.
But I did always think the whole scene sequence with Andrea and her sister in this episode was beautiful. What I find annoying is the characters and viewers all up in arms thinking amy is a ticking time bomb, so ridiculous. All they gotta do is keep watch and shoot amy as soon as she reanimates if she wakes up and lunges at Andrea. And if Anfrea gets bit, well she knew the risk, it’s her decision. But no one else would be in danger, they could just shoot amy right away if necessary. Daryl said his aim was flawless from there, right? Then what’s the hurry? Why worry? This kind of fear is beginner shit. There was no need to worry, they would be more than capable of handling it so just respect Andrea.

I first watched the walking dead when I was 14, and I'm surprised at how emotional you guys got with Amy and Jim cos maybe it was just because I was so young but I remember not being as sad about that whole situation as you guys are, to be honest I was getting annoyed at Andrea for not letting anyone shoot her lol. I wonder if I would have reacted similar to you if I watched it now for the first time with more emotional maturity

Just like Natalie-Anne said, that scene of Shane with the rifle sight on Rick, and his feral breathing. Dale seeing Shane's true colors. LOVE it. Rewatched it a few times. Human nature at it's finest.

Season 1 is so beautiful. It makes me wonder what direction the show would've gone in if Frank Darabont had continued directing after season 1
