Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Also Holden (and Miller) got actual PTSD from everything he went through on Eros. They’re both pretty fucked up from that and it’s influencing a lot of their choices.

It's a small detail, but I loved Holden's (Steven Strait) facial acting in the scene with Cortazar, speaking of those 100,000 people on Eros dead or dying in agony, his entire face contorts and quivers with anger. I think I'd react the same way, barely capable of containing my rage, but trying my damned best, understanding it's necessary for Cortazar to open up and give them the info they desperately need. Holden’s a good man, but he’s been thrown into a cosmic hellscape that no one, least of all his crew, can fully grasp. Another thing to note, it's only been a month, maybe two since the Canterberry was nuked. Just recovering from the trauma of that alone would break most people, never mind the cornucopia of horror they’ve been forced to choke down since. How any of them are still sane needs to be studied.

Brilliant reaction guys, loved it and you see so much. Your speculations during and after are insightful, I never considered Millers comment about Dreden (I killed him because he was making sense) as relating to the danger of more people buying into Dresdens viewpoint before, but that makes a lot of sense.

Lindsay Mathieson

Holden getting so angry with Miller surprised me a lot too the first time, but after watching the show and seeing and understanding what kind of person Holden is, I get it. Amos basically explains it all in the scene at the bar with Miller. Speaking of, I also love Amos in this episode a lot. You see how valuable he is in this crew and like you guys said, you can also see how much he trusts Holden now, which is crazy when you remember where we started. Cannot wait for the next two episodes!!!!

This show is just so good. Every single episode is great.

Ryan

All that is just the beginning of something greater.

All but confirmed - everything points to aliens, but still need to see undeniable proof for confirmation. Kind of like seeing bear tracks, poop, fur, but still haven’t seen a bear to confirm the hypothesis.

Yoshio

Amos mentioned Holden is as righteous as it gets out there. That doesn't mean he is perfect, and even Amos just thinks that Holden has a better shot of being in the right compared to himself. You can see how he is starting to lean on Holden similarly to how he leaned on Naomi to almost be his moral compass since his moral compass is basically broken. He just sees Naomi and Holden as being good people most of the time so he tries to do stuff that they would agree with. So it kind of seems like Amos wants to be a good person, but on his own, he knows he'd be off the rails, but if he can latch on to good people he has a better chance of being good.

Double episodes!! 📈

and "All Butt" is a saucy movie title

Chad K

Seconded.

Golladan

You've probably already watched, but if not, 2x4/5 should definitely be watched back to back as they're the end of book 1.

1G Is a reference to earths gravity, it means the same gravity as experienced on Earth. For comparison, Mar's gravity is a third of earths (One third G), when Martian marines train in 1G, its 3 times the gravity they grew up in, so it toughens them up and the implication is they are training for a possible invasion of Earth. Earth has many more ships than Mars, but older and out of date in comparison, Mars tech is way ahead of earths. nb. That was Deimos, a moon of Mars that was destroyed at in the opening, not Phoebe (Moon of Saturn). That was the response Errinwright and Chrisjen came up with last episode, which the Admiral resigned over.

Lindsay Mathieson

I always find it funny when Miller moves the bottle away from Amos. Small change in the opening next episode.

"all but" is "very nearly"
