Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen. Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously
Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side
Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop
HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)
Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)
Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

yo dawg, i just joined their patreon because of the twd reactions so idk how these guys usually act but i feel like these guy's are ragebaiting on purpose for more interaction. like i can understand everyone having their own takes and opinions but wow, these guys are on a whole other level. it really is interesting hearing y'all's perspectives but jeez it does make me wonder how y'all can side with shane on literally everything and forget his past actions. even the whole body language thing at the end, tony and dave were clearly not good guys

guys… they just entered TWD world, it takes a bit to understand the malice in people. it’s their experience and it will evolve with time and that’s the beauty of watching people react to our favorite show/movies. just enjoy the ride and don’t make it an issue.

That isn't what prompted Lori to go after Rick.... it was because of what Dale said about Shane killing Otis. When she realized where Shane's head was at and that he killed Otis to save Carl she became afraid and wanted Rick there.

2025-08-19 00:24:33 +0000 UTC
I know, I find their perspective of Shane to be really off and I don't understand how they see it the way they do. Aside from that they seem to really catch a lot of other things which makes for a great reaction.
Korivex
2025-08-19 00:14:06 +0000 UTC
Also, Lori left to go after Rick because of what Dale just said to her. When she heard about Shane killing Otis it made Lori afraid. It was stupid for her to go out.... but that is what motivated her to do that. And NO, those guys weren't lying about Fort Benning.
Korivex
2025-08-19 00:03:50 +0000 UTC
Did you guys miss where that guy Dave went for his gun to shoot Rick? Rick didn't just randomly shoot these guys.... they drew first. Rick was able to see exactly what type of guys they were.... which is why he was ready.... he knew Dave would go for that gun but Rick is a cop and quicker on the draw.

It doesn’t usually bother me, but I think it’s the 2nd comment where you’ve hinted at what’s to come, and nothing should be spoiled. I know there’s not much detail alongside your comment but it’s foreshadowing, and since we all know what happens, it’s best not to hint at anything?

I don't get the love for Shane tbh. He does "what he has to do" but at what cost? Did everyone forget what he tried to do in that lab place to Lori? Or that he gunned down a guy just for the sake of it? Nah, just let him get bit or something xD

2025-08-18 14:53:18 +0000 UTC
Love y’all, but you need to get better at reading people/body language because those guys in the bar were obviously up to no good lol. Rick caught onto that because he’s a cop. The guy was reaching for his gun to shoot at them not a bottle.
Mia
2025-08-18 13:08:34 +0000 UTC
Bro there’s no way y’all liked the guy at the bar who was about to shoot Rick. He is a cop and read them like a book and knew they were shady , the thing that kinda annoys me is if Shane did the exact same thing, y’all would be cheering and I know that for a fact, nobody in that group wants Shane to be leader bc he’s clearly unstable and is a borderline lunatic,Dale sees straight through him and I love Shane as a character but these are facts. Btw what Rick did in the bar was more beastly than anything Shane has done thus far.

2025-08-18 10:14:14 +0000 UTC
I just can’t with this whole debate at the end about scene in the bar. How can you so badly misinterpret everything that happened there between Rick and those guys, and actually think they could’ve been good guys just because you thought that dude seemed charismatic? Like seriously, how? 🤣🤣🤣

No PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't - Why do you want them to see moments condensed in a 1 minute trailer that you're literally paying them monthly to react to in the full length episodes before they see them in the episodes? Trailers are marketing to hype people into watching a show. They are watching it already and have access to the episodes right now, why wouldn't you want every single moment in the show to be as unexpected as possible so they have actual reactions to things they don't know are coming. Every single hint or scene or character or location they see in the trailer (and I just watched it out of curiosity, they show plenty) is depriving us with that reaction during the full episodes. People asking reactors to watch trailers for seasons they are literally about to start I just cannot understand.
I get it if its a trailer for a season that's still a year away and you want the reactor to share in the hype you have yourself, but to watch a trailer for a season they'll literally be doing two episodes of within a week?

They have lost all claim to objectivity and balance in this series unfortunately, at least when it comes to Shane. Just watch their reaction to his words and actions.

2025-08-18 08:31:34 +0000 UTC
The bar scene and tension was decided when one of the guys, I think Dave, said “got any cooze?” And that their group of guys have gone without for a while. I don’t know if “cooze” is just American slang, or worldwide English, but Dave basically said he has a bunch of horny guys who want to have sex, do you have any women?
At that moment Rick knew there is no way they could allow these guys to even know where the farm is, and knew he needed to kill them. Once Dave reached for his gun (Rick as a cop was smart enough to know Dave was pretending to reach for a bottle) it was go time, kill Dave and Tony, the opportunity Rick needs to justify killing them.
If Rick hadn’t killed those two then and there, Dave would have killed Rick and Dave and Tony would have forced at gunpoint Hershel and Glenn to bring them to the farm, and then brought their squad to take it over.
That would have resulted in a lot of violence, deaths, and if Dave’s group wins most certainly sexual assault on the women.
Testament to Rick’s instincts that he knew all of this just by a few words, but still had to play along, and was able to prevent this potential future by killing Dave and Tony with justification and a clear conscience.

The music is absolutely iconic. Composer for TWD is Bear McCreary. He’s done the music for a number of shows and it’s all pure gold! Outlander comes to mind as having one of the most amazing scores ever, from the title song to themes for all the main characters, and when two characters interact, the music incorporates both those themes, the man is a musical genius.

This last scene is definitely one that needs a rewatch or several. Lots of subtle details. These guys were not good vibes. Just the peeing in the bar alone was a sign of disrespect and then asking if they got any “cooze” wouldn’t make me want to bring them where my wife or daughters sleep..

I don't know why but lori crashing had me cracking up😂 she didn't even survive a second by herself. Although I know she's one of the least liked characters in the show, I wouldn't say she's completely awful. I just don't like how fast she moved on from Rick when she thought he was dead. I would've never done something like that if I had a man like him.

Lmao I love you guys and your reactions so much, and you never disappoint on bringing new (to me) perspectives to the table. I’ve never enjoyed people irl who act like Shane acts, and I’m not even talking about where he’s clearly unhinged. I mean the steamrolling over other people, the arrogant “I’m right and you’re just gonna have to deal with it” attitude, and the egocentric actions. I mean come on, he flat out said at least twice that Lori and Carl are the ONLY ones he cares about. He just straight up forsook his bestie. But as a character in a show, he’s amazingly written in my opinion! That said, this is the first time I’ve ever come across anyone who seems to look past(?) his trying to force Lori at the CDC, his pointing a loaded gun at his supposed best friend and fully considering taking the shot, and his blatant disregard for the safety of the whole group. Say what you will about Shane being right that the walkers in the barn needed to be dealt with, but not like that. That was irresponsible and a terrible decision without everyone on board. That’s how people get overwhelmed and killed, especially if there’s infighting among the group while it’s happening lol. Backing his every decision is wild! He’s completely cracked at this point! 🤦♀️😂 but it’s so fun to watch you guys love and admire him at the same time. This will be a great ride for you, but also from the audience’s perspective… we’re going to enjoy your journey immensely!
Grace
2025-08-18 02:47:01 +0000 UTC
I think Shane was feeling guilty in the scene with Carol as if he hadn't killed Otis, they would have found out Sophia was in the barn a lot sooner. It's kind of ironic that Shane was complaining about spending so much time searching for Sophia when he's kind of indirectly responsible for her being MIA for as long as she was. Of course if Shane hadn't opened the barn they probably never would have found her but still it's interesting to think about.

lol i mean its def subjective how you read people, but it was OBVIOUS that guy in the Nebraska episode was shady. Rick did what was needed. This episode is another reason I DON’T LIKE LORI! People swear Lori is unliked because of Shane, like noooo! She just sucks lol. It’s not her being a “complex” character. It’s her being HORRIBLY WRITTEN! I blame the writers, not the actress!

😁I think Spartan really likes the actor, the sparkle in his eye for him since day 1 transcended the character IMHO so I knew this would be the temperament going forward lol (happens to me often w actors I dont like[not the case here lol] playing a character I cant help but like) HOWEVER before the show started I thought, if they did watch this, they would both HATE Shane and Lori to the point it would be hard to watch them watch it so I'm already having a way different experience with them than I thought. Super intrigued in that to see how they will feel about so many people!

I could be reaching but I've noticed they sometimes have interesting takes on characters who clearly are no good. This reminds me of their intense love for Billy when they watched Stranger Things. I think its cause they are Australian lol. Like as a New Yorker I knew right away them bar guys had to go LMAO. And it's like I don't hate Shane but we gotta start realizing that the man is off. How are we still routing for a character that held is best friend at gun point and tried to force himself on a woman who clearly doesn't want him anymore. Lets be fr. Last episode they was upset that Dale wasn't tryna use his wisdom with Shane. Like are we all watching the same show lol. I'm ready for this era of the show to be over cause I'm getting frustrated.

Guys? The guy in the bar was litteraly reaching for his weapon to try and kill them? It was only then Rick killed him? Also its not even close to the same as Shane killing Otis, Otis was a known ally with a wife and friends at home on the farm, these guys we never met, were really aggresive, and then tried to kill Rick first.

First of all y’all need to work on judging characters motives and body language! Like that guy at the bar had no good intentions and he wasn’t gonna throw a bottle he was getting ready to shoot Rick, and the way they were talking wasn’t pure at all. Now let’s talk about Shane he is dangerous, plain and simple. He acts on impulse, fueled by anger and jealousy, not logic or care for others. He literally tried to assault Lori at the CDC -how can anyone say he cares about the group's safety after that?
He's only out for himself. If it benefits him, he'd throw anyone under the bus.
A month into the apocalypse and he's already ready to kill without hesitation. And f******* his best friends wife!
That's not survival instinct -that's someone losing their humanity fast.
Rick, on the other hand, actually thinks before acting. He values life, even in a world where that's getting harder to do. He's not perfect, but he questions things because he still has a conscience. He doesn't want to become a monster just because the world's falling apart. That's strength.
Shane would've killed Dale, or anyone who gets in his way, if he thought he could get away with it. He lets rage control him. Rick became the leader because people trust him. He's calm, strategic, and still holds onto basic decency. That's the kind of person you need in charge -not someone like Shane, who's only loyal to certain people (Lori and Carl) doesn’t care for his best friend apparently. (If u pay attention Shane never once said I’m doing this for the group, every time he talks to Lori he just says u and Carl).
With the farm situation last ep, Shane was not doing what was best for everyone, he was just acting on emotion bc Lori rejected him and his rights to be a potential dad so that just set him off to do what he did. And a "leader" wouldn't risk setting off rounds like that for walkers to come to the farm. And Rick proved at the end that he is and will be the better leader than Shane. Bc we didn't see Shane step up to shot Sofia did he? He wasn't man enough to do it.
For the record I'm not saying Shane is not right in this situation but how he goes about things and acting out is where things can go wrong.

Obligatory Shane comment. Upon rewatch of this season with you, while I do have differing views of shane and his actions up to this point, your perspective is very understandable, he's certainly one of the most divisive characters in the show if not the most. By that I mean everyone loves him as a character but the perception of who he is and how he does things and his choices vastly differ. I personally think it boils down to the question of is Shane a pragmatic realist or is he losing his humanity and expects others to do the same? It can be very cathartic and satisfying to see him run head first into a situation with lethal intent whether it be combative or conversational, it seems like he's making sense on the face of it against hesitation or inaction, but the question surrounding Shane is always gonna be, what's the point of surviving with so little hope that you lose yourself? Long winded comment but I love his character and the spirited conversation around him. He is an all time great.
