I enjoyed watching this movie for the first time with you guys! I grew up with the Justice League animated series along with Justice League Unlimited and I've always found those versions of the DC heroes to be my favorite. With that background in mind: 3 things I liked about this movie 1 - How much Superman cares about life and protecting it (compared to Snyder's superman just razing buildings to the ground without a care in the world) 2 - How much Superman believes in giving second chances, including lecturing his opponents mid-fight, that's EXTREMELY in character for him and I love it 3 - Rex is in the movie! Never would have expected to see him...maybe we can get Martian Manhunter someday too ;-; 3 things in the movie I didn't like 1 - Too many jokes - my favorite DC humor has always been the dialogue and banter between the different heroes (like Flash ribbing Batman) Snyder's version attempted that humor, but his version of the characters were so serious it only came off as cringe when he tried...on that note I'd rather have Gunn humor than Snyder humor. I think some of the jokes in this movie would have landed better if they weren't immediately followed by 3 other jokes 2 - Superman caring about what other people are saying about him online. He's an alien who grew up on a farm with 2 parents who probably didn't even own a computer. Come on, he's clearly someone who will always let his actions speak for themselves. He doesn't care about opinions, he just wants to save lives 2 - Hawkgirl - yeah idk she feels flat, weak, and doesn't even have her wings all the time. Hawkgirl can't just make her wings disappear they are part of her body - even if she's able to retract them...wouldn't there be holes in the back of her suit for that? Idk, I'm just a bit disappointed in her first movie appearance. This movie was enjoyable but I don't see a ton of rewatch value for me, similar to Man of Steel. I do think its time to rewatch the animated JL show though :) Thanks for the reaction!

if you're going to go into Peacemaker, I recommend starting with James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, the Peacemaker season 1, Creature Commandos, then season 2. Of course that's just my suggestion if you choose to watch the show :)
