Reintegration isn't immediate, it takes a long time for your memories to bleed over between your two selves. When we meet Petey, he had been reintegrated for 2 weeks and said things were still kind of hazy and confusing between the two "sets" of memories. The procedure involves aligning different brain waves and memories, which could create a conflict between the two Mark personalities hence what’s to follow.

2025-08-27 14:39:27 +0000 UTCI was also so confused about Mark's reintegration. Last episode they made it seem like he fully reintegrated. The season as a whole did a decent job with it, but I feel like they jumped the gun a bit too early.
