Well with a 3rd season it makes sense that they wouldn’t answer ALL the questions

Wasn’t too satisfied with this ending either. No idea what Make and Helly plan on doing, it’s not like there’s anywhere for them to go.

You guys ever see the Graduate. This ending mimics that movie perfectly. I won't be surprised if they start season 3 with Mark S and Helly being like "ok now what?"

They're never really in tune with the absurd. Still thinking things are weird in this show after all the crazy shit we have seen is weird. The cult is nonsensical. That's the point. Spartan must have hated Dr Seuss

I feel so bad for Gemma.

I agree, I think it makes more sense than Mark S actually leaving with Gemma/Ms. Casey. For his innie, he doesn't love Ms. Casey. He did his duty and helped her get out. But he loves Helly, it's the only love he's ever known. If he walked out that door, he may never be able to see her again. He may never BE again, he could just cease to exist if outtie Mark lied and doesn't just forget all about his innie once he has his wife back. If I were him, I would've done the same. Though, I will admit, while watching the episode, I really really really wanted him to leave with Gemma. Was kind of pissed he didn't. But after thinking about it, I totally get it.

Saying that “it all makes sense” is blatantly wrong, but you can’t deny that a decent amount of things were explained and as far as the season’s arc goes, it was fulfilled.
Yes, there are still big picture questions and greater context that we haven’t found out, but
I think being satisfied with what was presented as the main arc (finding out what happened to Gemma and freeing her + finding out what MDR is actually doing for work) is being misconstrued as “everything is answered”.

Regarding the ending where Helly acted “inconsistent” by running away with Mark - I don’t think that’s inconsistent at all, feelings are dynamic and impulsive and I think it makes sense that in a moment of adrenaline she would follow the man she loves who ran back to her. Innie Mark had both of his choices right in front of him, and he chose Helly. I think Helly did everything she could do to help him free Gemma, but ultimately Mark chose to be with Helly and I think she respected that. They don’t know what’s going to happen to them, whether they will live or die. That’s why they chose to spend what could be their final moments with each other

I feel like Spartan isn’t attuned to the show’s sense of humour, at least in this episode. There were a couple of times he would say that something is weird and look unimpressed/confused, but the point is it’s supposed to be funny BECAUSE it’s absurd. Like Milchik suddenly sprinting after giving Dylan the letter, or Milchik dancing, or the nurse running away shouting “fuck you!” to Mark.

I have a feeling that Helly will “become” the new Helena since Jame sees kier in her

Exactly. Also Mark S. & Helly R. are like teenagers developmentally. They're impulsive, reckless even. They know they probably don't have much time left & want to spend it together.

I love this finale but whoever commented that it’s all make sense by this season finale was trolling

It wasn’t a rational decision that innie mark made, but that’s the point. he doesn’t know Gemma and has no obligation to her, and the love of his life is right across the hall from him. and the end of his life is most likely waiting outside the exit door. In his head at that moment he’s just thinking that he wants to spend the rest of his time with her, even if it’s only another 10 minutes.
