I enjoyed all of Westworld. Season 3 was my least enjoyable, but it ties it once you watch season 4. Overall, I found it a satisfying show.

So this is based on a movie Michael Crichton made a long time ago called west world - a western themed amusement park. The show is a remake and goes way way deeper. During that big shootout scene the song in the background is a rendition if Rolling Stones - paint it black and it’s used a few times through the show I think. Anyway that’s all for random trivia today.

Season 3 is where I got completely lost, uninterested, and quit watching. I remember for season 3 I started watching 1hr+ YouTube breakdowns after each episode just to figure out what was going on, at that point it was no longer worth it to me.

Season 1 is one of my favorite seasons of a show ever, I think watch season 2 and even season 3 bc I thought they were still good. But stay away from season 4..it’ll ruin the series for you, it was so bad the show got cancelled before it could do its final season.

2025-10-19 14:12:43 +0000 UTCI guess there's no real difference (in the shows era and with advanced technology) to these robots/lifeforms and what we would know as NPCs in games now that use EXTREMELY crude versions of the code used in the hosts. It is jarring as to the eye, ear, nose and touch they're no different to humans but it's the norm for them Makes you think are they just really cruel or is it just us as we are now in a black mirror type way

I personally enjoyed all of it, but I might be in the minority. So I don't think many at all will fault you guys if you hang it up early. I think the show suffers from being so good in season 1 and then the following seasons not living up to the tier of season 1. But I think the following seasons are still good.

2025-10-15 04:10:21 +0000 UTCI love WW and highly recommend watching through S2 at least. Narratively a lot more is resolved & makes sense after S2. S2 includes one of the greatest episodes of TV ever IMHO. Personally I love all of WW, though it is a different kind of story in S3-4. This show isn't for casual viewers, that's for sure. You're picking up on it right away, there's a lot going on that you don't always catch on first viewing. It's a complicated show that asks deep philosophical questions.

I liked the successive ones after that, though to a lesser degree. They are also quite different. You can decide if you want to continue after this but I think season 2 is at least worth it. Enjoy!

2025-10-14 23:50:49 +0000 UTCHonestly I loved seasons 1-3 equally - seasons 2 & 3 really expect the viewer to not just be paying attention, but also be critically thinking about what you're watching though, and so if you don't you can quickly lose the plot which is why I think a lot of people didn't like it. I also remember enjoyjng season 4, albeit I don't remember much of what happened, so take from that what you will. In short, I will watch and enjoy it you continue past season 1, but understand if you guys decide not to.
