2024-09-15 19:34:33 +0000 UTCRegarding your question on what happens to the players who don't make the 53-man roster....every NFL team has a Practice Squad of up to 16 players. Many of those guys will end up on the Practice Squad where they can continue to try and impress coaches and also act as emergency call-up type players if the team sustains many injuries during the course of the season. Other guys might just end up being cut altogether and then they'll have to be invited by another team later on. The league is one of attrition so there are often opportunities down the line in the middle of the season for those who were initially cut by their teams. They have to stay in shape and be ready to go.
