While it’s hard to make excuses for Malik Henry because of the way he acts. I think that you could see some underlying themes in this episode. He’s playing a sport that he doesn’t love (he wanted to be a baseball player). His dad steps back into his life in high school (right when he started to become a big time recruit). His dad was teaching him how football is a business to a high school kid. Made him transfer to multiple schools and forcing him to quit the sport he loved and leave his friends. His dad was making decisions for him. So while I think most of the blame is on Malik for how he is now, I think his dad is a big problem as well.
