Glad you guys are enjoying it as much as I do! The amount of work that the team put in and the level of success they achieved is always incredible to me, and I love seeing them be recognized at the White House by the president and the first female Supreme Court justices. At the same time it's also heartbreaking to hear about the abuse that Ruthie was going through, and see how uncomfortable some of the women were with the clothing and the way they had to act for the media. At the very end of part 3, it gives short updates on each of the players, and it's great to see how much they've accomplished since the Olympics, and how they are now able to be themselves to a much greater extent than in 1996. There are also some interesting parallels with the national women's soccer team, since they also competed at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 1999 Women's World Cup in the US. The 1999 team got a ton of attention because some of the games were held in NFL or college football stadiums, and women's professional soccer in the US really started after that win. By that time title IX had been in effect for long enough for colleges to build up their programs and develop athletes, and views on women's sports were starting to change more broadly. Anyway, thanks again for watching, you would make a great commentary team for live sports (and certainly better than those for the LBA)!
