Loved this episode. Also, not sure if y'all will ever watch It's Always Sunny (I hope you do, it's so good), but for perspective: the show is very crass, very over the top, very often mean-spirited (but with the main cast always being the butt of those jokes), etc; the episode that caused Ryan to slide into Rob's DMs has one of the most beautiful and poignant scenes of any sitcom I've ever watched, and it was entirely unexpected and came out of nowhere. The final scene was genuinely beautiful in a way that no one could ever have anticipated from that show (Rob could easily have won an Emmy for his performance in that episode alone, it was that good), so that's what got Ryan's attention. Also, yes, Kaitlin Olson is his wife and is one of the co-stars of Always Sunny. What's funny is that, when they initially filmed the pilot, the girl Rob was dating played the role of Sweet Dee. They replaced her with... Kaitlin Olson. Who Rob then ended up marrying. (Kaitlin is an incredible comedic actress, by the way.)
