I’m from New Jersey and a million years ago was defensive MVP for a very famous high school in a year where we were one game from going to states. Texas is so much different from NJ, but at some of these powerhouse football high schools, I can see the parallels of Dillon in my own HS football experience. Happy to say that unlike Riggs, I did play in college, a very prestigious college, and without my high school football experience, my HS coaches, my college coaches, I don’t know where I’d be today. That’s really why I comment so much. So much of this show mirrors my own life. And now I coach high school sports and Coach Taylor is my TV mentor. P.s. You guys are hilarious and I love it! Yes, Landry is a terrible owl. We all knew he was going to go in for the kiss at the end! And always here for deep analysis at the end of the outro of why Riggs never won the beauty pageant and was forced into football instead. 😂😂😂 Still signed on till the end 👍

2024-12-13 03:57:05 +0000 UTCThe schools Julie is applying to are for the most part top ranked schools, but the issue is with the exception of UT Austin (fictional TMU was where Coach Taylor worked at the start of season 2 and still took plane rides back to see the family), they’re all either in California or the Northeast (MA, RI, NY)…. A really long way away. And you have Matt sitting there, having given up the chance to go to the Chicago Institute of Art so he can stay in Dillon with Julie…. He must feel betrayed to some degree.

2024-12-13 03:25:11 +0000 UTCHomecoming is when alumni go back for the game. Like a reunion. There is also a homecoming dance but usually the current students go to that Not alumni. And there is a homecoming queen and her court. Some towns may have a parade too and a bonfire.
