Climbs can definitely change because of the rock breaking or wearing down. A lot depends on the quality of the rock. Everyone says the rock in that cave in Flatanger is really solid. Some climbing areas are well known for having nice rock to climb on, or more/less solid rock. You have to take extra precautions climbing on something like sandstone that’s more likely to break. Climbs can be regraded when holds break off - sometimes they actually get easier. There’s a route in the UK called Parthian Shot that famously depended on a dodgy flake of rock to anchor protective gear. It eventually ripped out, badly injuring the person trying to climb it at the time. I think people still climb it, but they had to change their protection strategy after that. Oh, and as for Omad Kcin, I was imagining it pronounced like “kin,” but I think it’s up to you guys since it’s your names backwards.
