The richest and probably third greatest house are the Manderlys who are the only house in the North praying to the seven instead of the old gods. The fourth largest house are either the Karstarks or the Umbers. You met Greatjon Umber who passed during the Red Wedding he was the one who called out Robb as King (and Greywind ate his fingers during a banquet at winterfell)
