Bill Hader (the captain) was working alot with Andy Samberg (Jake) on SNL back in the days. You should definitely check some of those sketches out, maybe as a new mini-series.

2026-01-18 04:25:24 +0000 UTCI have such a specific and inexplicable celebrity crush on Bill Hader, so the extreme excitement and almost immediate crash of him appearing and then leaving was a real roller-coaster. 😭 I think he might have been a tinge too famous to be a regular cast member at the time though

2026-01-08 01:38:15 +0000 UTCI think TV shows can sometimes overuse the character reaction crash zoom but Brooklyn 99 strikes such a good balance imo. Case in point: when Amy cites the no sex rule and Jake has a perfect non-reaction. The crash zoom makes that such a hilarious moment.
