And how about Tyrion saving Jorah's skin by revealing himself before Jorah was taken away? Tyrion didn't have to do that. He could have waited until Jorah was taken away to tell Danaerys who he was.

For example, Daenerys is not as ruthless in the books. She does not feed masters to her dragons or execute Mossador. Show runners made her look ruthless. That's not book Daenerys.

He beat the Greyjoys in an open sea battle during their rebellion which is crazy impressive. He couldn't do much during Robert's rebellion but his determination was basically the only thing that stood between Storm's End and the Tyrells, allowing Ned to break the siege without a battle.
