Wow. Did not remember Luke had a hip flexor injury. I suppose they vary in degree, but I had a hip flexor playing college ball and I couldn’t even run for 2 weeks. I suffered the injury in a game, making a tackle and just landing the worst possible way on my hip. I couldn’t even make it to the sideline and limped back to the huddle. I was playing defensive end, and I just prayed the opponent, whatever their play, ran the other way. Thank God they did, but that was the last down of my freshman year. I could barely move. Everyday when I woke up and got out of bed, I’d forget I had the injury, and it was brutal pain. How in the world Luke can actually run with this… there must be degrees of injury for hip flexors. And I was also prescribed OxyContin for a different injury. That stuff puts you on another planet. I might be able to run while on that, but I’d definitely forget the snap count and the play! 😂 OxyContin used to be given out like candy in the USA but it led to so many opioid addictions, which led to heroin addictions when the prescription ran out, that I think it’s either banned or only used on the most extreme circumstances. I was lucky as I think I took 3 or 4 pills and was done with it, but Luke has taken 2 bottles now. I think we need to have a suspension of disbelief for this storyline. Ps. It’s CAL short for Calvin :-). But with the accent I can see why it sounds a lot like “Kyle.”
