I remember watching this game and the INSANITY that followed on social media. Something that I thought this episode/season didn't do the greatest job of was following the Notts/Wrexham race through the season. It felt like Wrexham were winning every match and then you go check the table and Notts was winning too. Every week. It got to the point where you felt like Wrexham had to win EVERY game because if they didn't, Notts was going to pull away. I think both teams broke the previous National League record for points in a season. It was unbelievable to follow throughout the season. You're just thinking, "Of course, Wrexham is smashing everyone and this just happens to be the year that another record setting club is too". And then Wrexham dropped one of the games in hand. Just unbelievable timing. Wrexham were on a 28 game unbeaten run when they lost to Halifax...their last defeat before that? At Notts county. At the time of this game, Wrexham and Notts were even on points and I remember doing the table math on possible outcomes for the rest of the season. When the penalty was called right at the end, it just felt like of course these two clubs would play to a draw. It just made sense. Then Foz said, nah fuck all that, I got you lol What a game this was.
