I dunno if they play it too subtly or if it doesn't translate culturally. I've seen other people not really catch onto this too. But Andy is a very dumb rich kid. That's his personality. He went to the dumb rich kid college Cornell which he talks about all the time because as a dumb rich American white boy he never had any experiences outside of his sheltered rich boy life. College would've been the first time he was away from home and forced to interact with the plebs. Cornell was paid for by his rich parents and the best he's done with a pretty good education is work at a paper company. I actually think they did a good job integrating a character that late into the cast. Maybe My own unfortunate experiences with white American rich boys makes me a bit more keyed into of all this. I'm like the Margaret Mead of white rich boys. I should write a book. Anyway, I dunno if that mattered at all, but there it is.
