2025-03-27 07:45:50 +0000 UTCRegarding the cockamouse, it's worth remembering that everything that happens in the show is actually a story that Ted is telling his kids. The cockamouse has become a mythical creature in the context of the group's shared history, so for purposes of the sitcom, it's exactly what everyone says it is - part cockroach, part mouse, and it can fly. None of them ever knew what it "really" was. This might be the first example in the show of when something is not 100% as it would have been in real life, but it won't be the last. :)
