So much happens in this episode, it's really hard to appreciate it all on a single watch. Winters' composure and command is amazing. Hope you get a chance to revisit it sometime when it's easier to put names to the faces of the recurring characters. (Speirs is always quite the character, lol.)

2025-04-27 21:56:01 +0000 UTCThere are a ton of German people in the US. Different waves of them immigrated here way back in the day. Some of them are some of my ancestors. WWI and WWII are very complicated when you look into and read the history. It's not all black and white. If I remember correctly WWI was when the US banned the German language in some places because a lot of people spoke it just like nowadays Spanish is more normal. The Japanese internment camps are something you Brits have heard of but there were ones for Italians and Germans as well. My friend's grandma used to cook for Germans at one down in Arkansas.
