I think you missed the context clues surrounding the scene with Webster. I think he wasn't speaking German because the baker understood English, but just couldn't speak it. That's why the baker responds he's not a Nazi after Webster accuses him of being one in English. Regarding Nixon and the older woman, it was interesting dichotomy because at first we see her looking down on him in disdain for breaking into her home and destroying her husband's picture, but then we see the reverse when Nixon sees her during the burials as he is now the one looking down on her because they obviously knew what was going on and now they/she has to face it. You can see she is ashamed because she can't maintain eye contact with him. I always loved this subplot.

I don't remember if you have watched saving private ryan with tom hanks, or schindlers list made by some other director guy who made loads of movies... Anyway (oh and im quite drunk, take all of this as if spoken to you from a drunk irishman at the bar :P ), anyway, between hanks (who's son played the new Lt. last ep) and that other guy that made a few movies, there are a few nods to it in this episode: - Tom hanks is the actor that executes the three surrendering germans - The girl in the red dress while everything else is in black and white, this time a woman in red - The music being played, in the list it is Bach not Mozart, in this it is Beethoven not Mozart Many others, but just a few things i thought i'd throw out there :) Thanks for the reaction Edit: -tried to keep this spoiler free if you havent watched Schindler's List, if you haven't then you should.
