Here’s a new speedmeshing video about the creating process of a door for The Sims 4. You’ll see again that I use a photogaphy reference and that the new cutout process is a bit tedious !
This is just a recording of my screen without music or explanations about how I create my objects for The Sims 4. Don’t hesitate to comment if you have any questions with the timeline, I’ll gladly answer it
To give you an approximative time, the normal length of the video is around two hours (I cut pauses).
From 0:00 to 5:20, you have the meshing and unwrapping in Blender 2.76 Starting 5:20, you’ll see the texturing part in Substance Painter At 8:08, I’m baking the texture in Blender 2.79 (to get the Principled BDSF shader) At 8:45, I come back to Blender 2.76 to finish the item (duplicating parts, cloning/mirroring certain parts and setting group cuts) At 9:40, I’m setting the object in S4S, importing the mesh, settings the pivot point and editing the cutout. At 12:28, you can see the result ingame
Hope you’ll like it !
This door is part of my next set to be released (hopefully !) next monday ! ❤️
