This movie is INCREDIBLE. Tom Hanks nailed this ! Jenny is such a sad and beautiful character as well. Her virus is AIDS i believe. I love the end how it came full circle and his son rode the same bus with the same driver. π₯°

Jenny's death is suggested, though not confirmed, to be caused by HIV/AIDS. Given it being in the late 80s, her past drug use, multiple partners, and the doctors saying she has a "virus".
