2025-08-02 11:14:24 +0000 UTCAmazing movie and an honest emotional reaction. I knew this was going to be a hard one. I love this movie but I usually have to wait 4 or 5 years between watching. I break up at the end no matter how many times I watch it. As others said, he ran for 3 years so she couldn't tell him. She sent the letter to reach out. While it isn't expressed Jenny seems to have contracted and died of AIDS. Jenny loved him but thought she was broken and unworthy of love. There is no doubt in my mind she loved him. Lieutenant Dan and Jenny were both transformed by Forrest. He had the braces on the bus when he met Jenny. He ran out of them when the bullies started chasing him.
